First Finished Project

Well... after many many mistakes I finally finished my first project. I made a ring bearer pillow for my cousin's wedding, and I have to say, I struggled a lot with the lace... first, I sewed it on backwards, then, I couldn't sew together the two pieces of fabric that make up the pillow, but, after many attempts I finally got it right...

I was really happy with the finished product, and, more important, my cousin loved it!! 

Any advice or opinion is very welcome!!

Getting Started...

So... I thought maybe for my very first post I would write a little about myself... Apparently I didn't think it through... Let's see... Like my profile says, I'm from the Dominican Republic (DR), my first language is Spanish, so please bear with my typos and such things... I'm 26, I've been married for almost 4 years now, no kids yet but hopefully soon... I work in the afternoons so my whole morning is spent doing house chores most days, and on other days I'm idle...

I just bought my very first sewing machine and am dying to put it to some use, it's a singer traditional, and to be honest I need all the help I can get...  I'm still trying to get my stitches straight, so I still sew most things by hand... I´m mostly learning from the internet, although my mother in law taught me the basics of machine sewing...

I love crochet, one of may aunts taught me the basics and everything else I learn online... I recently bought a book of crochet flowers so hopefully I'll be posting pictures and rants... I guess that's all for now... 'til next time!
